Nothing
Reach up for the clouds, clouds that I cannot reach.
Stretch high, not tall, too short, too small.
Struggle for the things that slip through my fibble fingers, I struggle.
Not strong, too weak, not human, not alien.
Nothing.
Look out at the waters, waters too deep that I can only look.
Can't breathe, no air, more water, I can't bare.
Diffecult to move through the cold waters, too difficult.

Judge Not
I was shocked, confused, bewildered
as I entered Heaven's door.
Not by the beauty of it all,
by the lights or its decor.

But it was the folks in Heaven
who made me sputter and gasp--
the thieves, the liars, the sinners,
the alcoholics, the trash.

There stood the kid from seventh grade
who swiped my lunch money twice.
Next to him was my old neighbor
who never said anything nice.

Herb, who I always thought
was rotting away in hell,
was sitting on cloud nine,
looking incredibly well.

Body
Gurgling sounds bubble close to my ears.
What is that sound that I hear?
Screams and yells mix with laughter and joy.
Maybe Uncle Joe has found a new toy.
Cracks and thuds blend in with the sound.
Two weeks later and she'll be in 'lost and found'.
A body afloats up in a creek.
Broken legs and blood smeared on her cheeks.
On the news and in the paper.
No one will no a day or two later.
Kept in silence, hidden in secret.
She's no more than just a body now.....
